Sacred Space was born from 18 years of service to the community in Body Therapies. In this time I have offered an eclectic range of modalities that have worked successfully with my clients. What has rung true after such time is the human need and desire to be free from pain & stress, to be listened to, and to evolve from the constant niggles in the body.
I work with you on your individual needs, using insight and knowledge from working on the human body over nearly two decades.
Please note: My advice Is not to replace medical advice, but I'm sure we can make some real life changes together!
Why Massage?
It may not seem obvious, but happiness is something we are naturally born with. Somehow we forget about the simple pleasure of feeling content. Happiness is promoted by resting, sleeping, smelling a flower, gazing at sunsets, being mentally & physically pain free. To allow a life of pain, stress, tension and toxins to take over is not happiness.
We can all benefit from asking ourselves when was the last time I felt great? Because greatness can not be under valued.
Society has taught us to toughen up and deal with pain. Whether it’s mental or physical, this way of living is not truly thriving or allowing ourselves to evolve. Pain holds you back! It is not strength.
My aim is to help you back to your mobile, happy & free self.
Massage Therapy is a health tool back to the self. Freeing yourself of pain creating lightness and energy back to the body, mind and spirit.
It is the science of moving and manipulating soft tissue for healing, health and wellbeing. Massage dates back centuries and initially was used as a health tonic, or preventative to illness.
Today the growth and research into the healing properties of Massage has gained huge momentum. Becoming an essential part of ones life, necessary for internal and external wellbeing.
Whether you need to simply relax, work on recent or old injuries, or bring some balance back to your anatomy and physiology.
Massage is for everyone.
🌀The key is regularity to create beneficial change:
Often in one session you will feel a remarkable difference to how you feel. If you have acute or chronic pain. It may take a few sessions close together to make the change.
🌀Wellness maintenance:
It is recommended to keep up with your new feeling of wellness by booking a regular session in at least every 3-4 weeks. At this level we will expect ongoing wellness, keeping tension at bay and generally keeping you pain free.
Most of my clients prefer more regularly!
If you are currently under other care specialists:
speak to your professional about adding Massage Therapy to your healing.
A regular Massage truly compliments most other modern therapies.
Post Massage:
🌀Drink plenty of water for at least 24 hours,
🌀Lessen the duties for the remainder of the day,
🌀An epsom salt bath is recommended for optimal effect.
🌀Expect to sleep like a baby!
Sometimes your muscles will feel tender after a session, this will reduce/disappear after a couple of days. Also over time with treatments, you will experience joy back to the body.
Drinking water: Drink plenty over the 24 hour period post massage, allowing toxins to flush out, also preventing a detox headache.
